Watermark Remover
Brush over a watermark, a timestamp or a passer-by you would rather not be in the picture, and an AI model rebuilds the area underneath from the pixels around it. The repair runs on your own machine — the photo is read from disk, fixed in memory and handed back, and no copy of it exists anywhere else.
How to use it
- Drop a photo onto the box above. One picture at a time; the editor opens straight away.
- Adjust the brush size, then paint over the watermark or object you want gone. A rough covering is enough — include a little of the surroundings. Undo and Clear strokes let you fix a sloppy pass.
- Press Erase. The first run fetches an AI model (about 28 MB, once, from this same site); after that it is cached and results appear in seconds. Check the result, keep painting and erasing until it is clean, then download it.
Why it stays private
The repair is a neural network (MI-GAN) compiled to run inside your browser tab. Your photo is decoded from disk, processed in memory and written back — there is no upload step in the code at all, which you can verify in your browser developer tools' Network panel: the only request the tool makes is the one-time model download from this site. Sensitive photos — family pictures, documents, unreleased product shots — never leave your device.
Questions
What kinds of watermark can it remove?
Best results come from small to medium marks on fairly regular surroundings: corner logos, date stamps, short text over sky, walls, skin, fabric or blurred backgrounds. The model invents the missing pixels from the neighbourhood, so a mark sitting on a busy pattern leaves more traces than one on a plain area. Large marks covering a face or a detailed structure are beyond what a browser tool should promise — try it and judge for yourself, it costs nothing.
Is it legal to remove a watermark?
Only remove watermarks from images you own or have permission to edit — your own photos, stock you licensed, or pictures where the mark is yours to take off. Removing someone else's watermark to pass their work off as unlicensed is copyright infringement in most countries. Please use this tool on your own material; that is what it is built for.
Why does the first erasure take longer?
The first run downloads the AI model (about 28 MB) to your browser's cache. That happens once; every visit after that starts instantly, even offline. The download comes from this site itself, over the same connection the page used — no third party sees your image or your traffic.
Which browsers work?
Any recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. On browsers with WebGPU the repair runs on the graphics card and finishes in a few seconds; elsewhere it falls back to a slower software mode with the same result. Very large pictures are scaled down to 4096 pixels on the long side to fit in memory, which the page tells you when it happens.
